About the role

NT Broadacre operates 24 hours a day during peak season across cotton and broadacre cropping sites in the NT and East Kimberley.

As a machinery operator you'll be working across a range of equipment depending on the season: from planting and spraying through to cotton harvest and grain harvest. Shifts are 12 hours.

Much of the work is remote and you need to be comfortable being away from home for up to two weeks at a time.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating cotton pickers, combine harvesters, boom sprayers, speed tillers, stick rakes, land planes, fertiliser rigs, planters, mulchers, bale runners, stalk pullers and trucks
  • General machine maintenance, greasing and refuelling
  • Updating hours and timesheets daily in our systems
  • Working as part of a team across remote and local sites

What we're looking for

  • Experience operating heavy machinery, tell us what you've run and for how long.
  • Comfortable working 12-hour shifts and remotely for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and clean work habits
  • Strong communication and willingness to muck in
  • You look after the machinery like it's your own
  • Experience with John Deere or GPS-guided systems is useful but not required

What we offer

  • Work vehicles supplied
  • Accommodation and meals on remote sites when required
  • Work across a wide range of agricultural machinery
  • A strong, experienced team around you
